Namma Krishi – Namma Bellad
Strong irrigation for sustainable agriculture. Hubballi- Dharwad West constituency has 13 villages and 30% of our constituents are farmers. In order to ensure that the reliance on rains is reduced, we have invested in stong irrigation. Irrigation projects have been proposed in 29 locations, of which projects in 8 locations across 4 villages have been completed. Barrages and concrete check-dams, each amounting to the Rs. 60 Lakh, have been built thus ensuring the storage of water and recharging of underground water sources. These Neeravari projects have ensured that an additional 100 to 150 acres of land gets year round irrigation. This has also ensured that farmers ean an increased revenue of Rs. 50,000 out of which around Rs. 20,000 can be termed as profit.
29 locations have been identified, 8 have built: Amargol, Gokula, Navlur, Gamangatti villages. Different Amounts. 100 -150 acres per barrages & bandara (concrete). Borewell recharge. 8 to 10 Crores. Lake development: Navlur — Desiliting, lake rejuvation. SC/ST: Borewell, Neeravari, 11 KV lines, 5 HT — small farmers: Borewell, electicity – 1.5 crores.
